Just wanted to give an update on how Connor is doing. He is 4 days old now and has been doing good in the NICU. All the doctors keep telling us that he just continues to impress them.
He has moved his way down to CPAP now at 21% (same as room air). They have increased his gut priming from .05ml every 6 hours, to .05 ml continuous feed. He seems to be tolerating it pretty well.
He has been unders some lights tanning it up, as he is a tad jaundice. So we are waiting for the effects of the lights to help him out with that.
He has also lost about half a pound or so since he was born. Though they keep telling us it is expected and that most preemies do not get back up to their birthday weight for about 10 - 14 days after delivery. So we are waiting for him to start beefing up again.
He only lost 10 grams from yesterday to tonights weigh in. So it seems he is slowing down.
We are enjoy all our Kangaroo time that we can sneek in. Usually I have my hour in the morning and Chris has his in the evening. We dont want to keep him away from his lights to much right now.
